March Madness: Semi-Finals

semi-finals

Round Three of March Madness: Shipping Wars proved to be fairly predictable. On the Fan Favorites side, our number one seed and number two seed, Johnlock and Destiel, were the two to advance. Ten/Rose easily made it into the Final Four as well. However, Jack Harkness/the Universe managed to take out the number one canon seed, The Ponds, proving that Harkness is the dark horse of this competition.

Here are the updated brackets:

March Madness: Round 3

round 3

Whew.

Round 2 of our March Madness: Shipping Wars was absolutely brutal. The battle of Johnlock vs. Wincest was by far the most intense we have seen yet. After going back and forth the entire time, Johnlock came out triumphant in the end. Stony, Merthur, and Destiel all made it to the next round for the Fan Favorites while on the Canon side The Ponds, Harkness/Universe, Romione and 10th/Rose round out the Elite Eight. March Madness: Round 2

round two

After an intense first round, we have our Sweet Sixteen.

On the Fan Favorites side Johnlock, Wincest, Stony, Nuna, Bagginshield, Merthur, Legolas/Gimli and Destiel have all advanced. The slash couples have definitely done well in the Shipping Wars.

In the Canon conference The Ponds, Zoe/Wash, Buffy/Angel, Jack Harkness/The Universe, Romione, Black Hawk, Eowyn/Faramir, and The 10th Doctor/Rose made it to round two. While The Ponds are the favorite to win overall, there are some definite dark horses that could make it to the end. Continue reading

March Madness: Shipping Wars

24422_2964699413943_1793162717_n

It’s that time of year. March Madness is upon us, and all over the nation people are carefully filling in their brackets and cheering on their favorite teams. While we have varying opinions on basketball here at 3ChicGeeks.com (Freak Geek: “I do not concern myself with the ancient Mayan sacrificial rites, as they bring no benefit to the halls of Asgard.”), there is one competitive sport we all enjoy: Shipping.

Yes, that’s right. We’re going there. It’s going to be a bloody war, but in the end there will be one ship to rule them all.  Continue reading

The Reichenbach Feels Playlist

The Reichenbach Feels Playlist - All your reichenbach Fall feels in a convenient playlist format

We here at 3 Chic Geeks are intensely familiar with the feeling of having ALL THESE FEELINGS about the Reichenbach Fall. We don’t know how Sherlock did it; we can’t get over what happened; the mere words “Goodbye, John” are enough to make us randomly burst into tears… we swear we don’t have problems. Now that Sherlock season 3 is thiiiiiiiis close to being filmed, we thought we’d give everybody another way of torturing themselves until that fateful day when Sherlock 3.1 hits the airwaves. So, the great and sinister force that is Freak Geek went through her music collection and put together a playlist that details EVERY SINGLE FEEL that you will feel… in the exact order of you feeling those feels. Ready to laugh, weep and rip your hair out? Read on to find out which songs made the list!

Disclaimer: If this playlist looks like it was made by Dean Winchester… that’s probably because it was. Don’t judge me. I only know like five albums. -FG

The Sherlock Tumblr Tag Drinking Game (or: A Study in Liver Disease)

sherlock drinking game banner

So, you’ve survived a year, a FULL YEAR, since Reichenbach. Good job, you. In that time you’ve probably read (and written) fanfiction, seen enough fanart to last a lifetime, drank Sherlock tea, discovered the Red Pants tag and completely lost your sanity. Well, the bad news is that Sherlock season 3 does not start filming until March of this year; the good news is we’ve found a new way to occupy your time until the first photos of the actors on-set begin to trickle onto Tumblr.

Be warned, this drinking game is not for the weak of heart (or liver). This drinking game is the ULTIMATE drinking game, meant to get you through to season three… or die, in which case you’ll have to sell your soul to Crowley so you can live to see Season 3. The rules are simple: Get a drink. Go to the “sherlock” tag on Tumblr. See what comes up. If it’s on our list… drink accordingly. Ready? Let’s go.
